A number of Islamic countries, including Iraq, Oman and Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maghreb, Brunei announced Saturday as Eid al-Fitr after the Shawwal crescent was not seen on Thursday.
Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Syria, the UAE, Türkiye, Egypt, Kuwait, Yemen, Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan announced Friday as the first day of Shawwal month and the day of Eid al-Fitr.
