Recently some Afghan media and social networks have published fake news and video clips to suggest that the Afghan refugees are mistreated in Iran.

Some malicious Afghan media and individuals intend to intensify Iranophobia in Afghanistan; this is happening as the Afghan people know well that such propaganda is basically fake.

Of course, raising such issues against the Islamic Republic of Iran from the side of some malicious circles in Afghanistan is not something new; it comes whenever the enemies of Iran want to cast aspersion between the two nations.

As no part of the world accepts the influx of illegal Afgan migrants, the hostile circles try to make the people in Afghanistan think of Iran as a country where the government forces the Afghan migrants out of the country so mistreating them.

The malice comes as Afghanistan's people are well aware of Iran's hospitality to the Afgan refugees for more than four decades.

The fact is that based on international law, the nationals of a country, such as Afghanistan, in which there is no war and peace is established are not considered migrants in another country.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, based on an understanding of the specific issues Afghanistan faces, has let many Afghan refugees in, yet many of them also live illegally in Iran, an issue that will bring about social and security challenges to Iran.

Therefore, the Islamic Republic conducted for several times the identification and registration of the Afgan refugees living in the Iranian territories.

There again, it should be pointed out that the Islamic Republic has been hosting millions of Afghans for more than 40 years due to the problems arising from sanctions. Furthermore, Afghan migrants have long lived with Iranians and have had different jobs and educations, and naturally, the Taliban insists on the return of the Afghan refugees to help rebuild Afghanistan.

In such a situation, some biased groups are trying to create an Iranophobia wave in Afghanistan, to leave a negative effect on Iranian-Afghan nations; a collusion that has so far failed, because the people of Afghanistan know that Iran has spared no efforts to solve their problems.

The removal of illegal Afghans from Iran has been done with full respect, such that the Iranian government has so far not put any illogical pressure on them to leave Iran. Therefore, fabricating video clips about the misconduct of Iranian officers with the illegal Afghan migrants can not influence Iran-Afghanistan ties.
