Lebanese President Michel Aoun has held separate meetings with Lebanese MPs and parties to nominate a new Prime Minister.

Iran Press/Middle East: The Lebanese President Michael Aoun has met with the representatives of various political factions of the  Lebanese Parliament amid the recent crisis.

Reportedly, Hassan Diab is likely to be named as Lebanon's next prime minister.

Party of Lebanon's Hariri has said that it will not take part in the next government.

Former Prime Minister Saad al-Hariri had to resign after weeks of protests and demonstrations against his government and calls for his resignation by many of the protesters.

The protests first began on October 17, hitting Lebanon at a time of worsening financial crisis — banks were closed for 10th day on Tuesday along with schools and businesses.
