Iran Press/ Asia: Qatar will host the 2022 World Cup from November 20 to December 18; it is the first time that these competitions will be held in the winter in West Asia and in an Arab country.
According to Iran press news agency, Qatar's Ministry of Defense announced in a statement on Friday that Italian troops arrived in Qatar to play role in the security of the 2022 World Cup games within the framework of the cooperation agreement signed by the ministry with friendly countries.
According to the report, the Ministry of Defense of Qatar did not mention the number of these forces.
Some high-ranking officers of the Qatari armed forces have welcomed the Italian forces.
A number of countries, including Türkiye, America, England, France, Germany, Poland, Italy, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Pakistan, Jordan and Palestine, are helping Qatar to secure the 2022 World Cup.
