Israeli regime's army targeted southern Lebanon after two missiles were fired at an Israeli military post near the border.

Iran Press/ West Asia: Israeli regime targeted southern Lebanese towns on Wednesday in response to a fresh rocket attack by Lebanon's Hezbollah, as cross-border violence extended into a fourth day.

The Israeli regime's military claimed its aircraft struck the area where Hezbollah launched its missile earlier this week and a military observation post belonging to the group in southern Lebanon.

The latest exchange of fire came as Israel massed troops and heavy armour around Gaza in its retaliatory campaign against Hamas militants in a conflict that has left hundreds dead on both sides.

Hezbollah said in a statement that it has targeted a Zionist's position facing Dhayra village, with guided missiles, in a firm response to Zionist attacks which led to the martyrdom of a number of brothers.

The armed conflict between Hezbollah and Israeli regime comes as the Jewish state ramps up its counteroffensive against the Palestinian resistance Hamas, which launched a surprise attack against Israeli regime. 219
