Iran Press/ Iran News: In further comments, the top Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami praised the IRIB World Service, comparing IRIB's 'truthful reporting of events' to the light of the Sun which shines on the universe.
Salami added: "Although the Sun is very small compared to the size of the universe, it still manages to shine significantly, and the same is true about IRIB, although it is very small compared to mainstream Western media, IRIB enlightens world public opinion significantly by its truthful reporting of events and news."
In further remarks, the IRGC Commander said: "Truthful reporting of IRIB attracts audiences and viewers throughout the world since truth is by its very nature attractive."
Commenting on Yemen and occupied Palestine, Major General Salami said the killing of innocent Yemeni and Palestinian children means both the Yemenis and the Palestinians have their legitimate right to self-defence.
Major General Salami praised IRIB for broadcasting the voices of the voiceless, in places like Yemen, occupied Palestine, Bahrain, Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq and many others. He also commended the documentary films made by IRIB.
The IRGC Commander also praised IRIB World Service's role in the "war of the media" saying IRIB has taken on mainstream Western Media, with its limited resources, but honest and truthful reporting.
Turning to the US media, Major General Salami said American media want to keep the peoples of the world in dark, and through false reporting and fake news they want to deceive world public opinion.
