Iran Press/ Iran News: The Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Major General Hossein Salami made the remarks at a convention of security and service scouts in Ahwaz, southwest Iran.
Salami referred to the cruel US sanctions against the Iranian people, adding: "Iran, led by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and the nation's wisdom, turned the threat into an opportunity."
Major General Salami also pointed to recent developments in Iraq, saying: "Enemies in Iraq failed and attribute their failure to Iran, but Islamic Iran declares that it does not interfere in other countries' internal affairs."
The Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps emphasized: "Iran is not waging a war based on the orders of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, but is ready to defend itself." 207/219
