Iran Press/Iran news: Haidar al-Musawi, commander of the 26th Brigade of Hashdal Al-Shaabi (PMU) said that the efforts of the Takfiri terrorists of ISIS failed with the timely intervention of the Hashdal al-Shaabi forces and they were forced to retreat.
Abu Hassan al-Hanafi, Hashd al-Sha'abi's commander in Samarra Operation also warned of ISIS' efforts to reach holy sites in the area, urging forces under its command to be ready to defend the Al-Askari (AS) Shrine.
In recent days, the dormant ISIS cells, backed by the United States and Saudi Arabia, have carried out several terrorist attacks in Salah al-Din, Dhi Qar, and Diyala provinces, which were met with a swift response from Hashd al-Shaabi forces.
On Saturday morning, in the ISIS terrorist group attack to the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) in southern Tikrit and northern Samarra in Saladin province, 10 members of PMU were martyred and 4 others were wounded.
Many Iraqi politicians consider the re-activation of the ISIS remnants as an act by the US so that it could keep its troops in Iraq.
