Iran Press/ Middle East: Al-Fatah Alliance representative in the Iraqi parliament, Ahmad al-Kanani, said that the Iraqi security forces have the necessary capabilities to maintain security and stability in the country, Al-Maluma reported on Sunday.
The Iraqi MP added that the Iraqi parliament and government emphasize the need to expel US troops from the country and that the Iraqi people support the relevant resolution.
In recent weeks, Iraq has once again seen the issue of US troops in the country. Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kazemi agreed by telephone with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to withdraw 500 US troops from Iraq.
The Iraqi parliament approved the withdrawal of US troops on January 5, and the Iraqi people call for the expulsion of US troops from their country.
