The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces heading a high-ranking delegation arrived in China to take part in the 9th Xiangshan Security Forum.

Iran press/Asia: The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Brigadier General Mehdi Rabbani who entered the Chinese capital city of Beijing on Saturday, is scheduled to participate in the Xiangshan forum which will be kicked off as of Monday and takes long for three days.

The goal of the summit is to discuss important regional and international security issues, inter-state relations and international order, as well as security risks management in the Asia and Pacific region, Iran press reported.

Safeguarding peace and stability in the Asian continent with regard to the new security conditions and in keeping with the UN Security Council Charter as well as adhering to its goals are of other issues that will be addressed at Xiangshan Security Forum.

China believes that the existing international order established by the West has led to aggression, colonialism, military conflicts and hegemony along with many other challenges and works out no longer for the world, therefore security must be sought in a new model.

Global security and arms control, technology and international security, artificial intelligence and future weaponry, maritime security, maritime security engineering, trust-building strategies, security in the Middle East, as well as international cooperation in the fight against terrorism are the pivots of the three-day conference.

The 9th round of Xiangshan Security Forum is to be held as of October 20 to 22, 2019 in Beijing, the capital of China. 101/205
