Iran Press/Middle East: The Arafeh pray was recited on Saturday as about 2 million Muslims from across the world have started to observe the Day of Arafeh, an occasion for repentance and supplication considered as the pinnacle of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
The representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution for Hajj affairs, Abolhasan Navab, and otherHajj officials attended in the rituals, Iran press reported.
This year, more than 88,000 Iranian pilgrims participated in the rituals of the Hajj in the land of revelation.
The Day of Arafeh falls on the second day of pilgrimage rituals. At dawn on this day, nearly 2 million Muslim pilgrims will make their way from the town of Mina to a nearby hillside and plain called Mount Arafeh and the Plain of Arafeh, which is located about 12.5 miles (20 kilometers) from Mecca, the final destination for the pilgrimage. 101/216
