Iran Press/ Iran News: Speaking in a meeting with political activists and elites on Monday, President Hassan Rouhani referred to the successes and achievements of the fight against the Coronavirus, saying: "There is no doubt that if it were not for Iran's Leader's support from the government and the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus, we certainly couldn't have achieved the current success."
Rouhani added: "From the very beginning of the Coronavirus outbreak, we considered the resolutions of the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus in line with the resolutions of the Supreme National Security Council and the Leader approved it. His Excellency was completely aware that the country's conditions are special, and his interpretation of the National Task Force for Fighting Coronavirus resolutions was that he would act based on whatever the task force decides, which was very important in the success of the task force's actions".
The President noted: "In the fight against the Coronavirus, no coercive force was used, and only by advising the people and empathy and support of the people, we were able to move things forward and the people displayed decency, support, and high vision."
Referring to the importance of social capital and its strengthening, Rouhani said: "Coronavirus showed that the system has a high level of social capital and people show great support in times of danger."
Referring to the measures taken by the 11th government in the field of healthcare and the implementation of the Healthcare Reform Plan, the development of cyberspace and the National Information Network and the support of knowledge-based companies, the President said: "The work done in these three fields led to not being short of even special hospital beds and medical equipment."
Rouhani added: "Also, the work of the 11th government in the development of cyberspace and communications have made it possible for us to meet the needs of the people, especially in the field of education and business, to a large extent."
The President pointed out: "Knowledge-based companies also had great activities and achievements in these days, and many of their products, including the production of diagnostic kits, ventilators, and N95 masks, are meeting the country's domestic needs and we are also able to export these products."
Rouhani added: "Undoubtedly, the government's work in the field of the healthcare reform plan, development of the national information network and knowledge-based companies, as well as attention to the agriculture sector and self-sufficiency in many products, we were able to manage and control the Coronavirus".
The President said: "Today, according to the actions that have been taken, we have reached a point where we are proud in the world, and many of the judgments made by the ill-wishers of the Iranian nation have been automatically thwarted."
Referring to the government's support for the stock market and the supply of shares of many government firms in the stock market in the near future, Rouhani said; "Although the stock market has ups and downs, it is being managed and with the offerings that will be made, a great transformation will happen and the capital market will develop."
In another part of his remarks, the President emphasized the importance of the existence of parties in the country, saying: "I believe that for the country's future, we have to think of parties and if we want to stabilize and strengthen our system, a couple of main parties should be formed in the country to run the country periodically."
