Iran Press/ Iran News: Commander-in-Chief of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran Major General Seyed Abdul Rahim Mousavi on Wednesday in a message on the occasion of Navy Day noted: "the successful presence of Iranian ships from the China Sea to the Atlantic Ocean, from the Gulf of Aden and Bab al-Mandeb and the Mediterranean to South Africa, has been recorded and admired everywhere."
Major General Mousavi reminded: "Today, the Iranian Navy builds everything from advanced ships and floating equipment to modern light, medium and heavy submarines, relying on indigenous knowledge."
He added that communication, missile and defense systems are made in the country, the navy set and indigenized naval battle tactics based on its battle experience and made them a point of reliance for Iran at sea.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Army, referring to the power of surface-to-air missiles and the Navy's long-range missiles in destroying targets hundreds of kilometers ahead of floating units, emphasized: "If the enemy under the illusion of its naval power makes any mistake, it will receive a strong decisive blow from the strategic navy of the Iranian army."
Imam Khomeini, the great founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on the occasion of the bravery and heroism of the Iranian navy in defending the islands, ports, coasts and seas of the country, especially defending Abadan and Khorramshahr and the Persian Gulf during the imposed war by the Ba'athist enemy, named the 7th of Azar (November 27th) as Navy Day. 219
