Iran press/ Asia: At the beginning of the sixth day of the Tokyo Paralympic Games 2020 and in the long jump competition, an Iranian athlete snatched a gold medal.
The competition was held in the T12 class with the participation of 10 athletes from Iran, Azerbaijan, Cuba, Sweden, Uzbekistan, Germany, and Belarus.
In the competition, which the Tokyo Olympic Stadium hosted, Amir Khosravani won a medal by setting a record of 7.21 meters.
He fouled in his first jump but broke his personal record and won a gold medal in his second jump.
The Cuban athlete also won a silver medal by recording 7.16 meters; the bronze medal also went to Saeed Najafzadeh from Azerbaijan, who jumped 7.03 meters.
