Iran Press/ Europe: In an interview with TASS, Jalali commented on the possibility of Iran abandoning plans to attack Israel ahead of a new round of ceasefire talks in Qatar regarding the situation in Gaza.
The ambassador recalled the words of Iran's spiritual leader about avenging spilled blood and emphasized that Iran's stance indicates it will follow through on its promise. "There will be a response, but we do not know exactly when," Jalali stated. "In any case, the Islamic Republic of Iran is always ready to stand up to any aggression, and we will respond to it (Israel)," he added.
The ambassador's remarks come amid heightened tensions between Iran and Israel following the recent assassinations of senior Hamas and Hezbollah officials, which Iran has blamed on Israel.
