Iran Press/ Asia: During the meeting of Iran's Oil Minister Javad Owji with Acting Minister of Energy of Uzbekistan Azim Ahmad Khojaf on Wednesday, a memorandum was signed for cooperation between the two countries in various energy sectors.
The high-ranking delegation of Iran and Uzbekistan agreed on the joint implementation of petrochemical projects in Iran, conducting geological and exploration activities in the field of oil and gas, supply of Iranian petrochemical products in Uzbekistan, exchange of crude oil and petroleum products, joint research for development and commercialization of Catalysts and chemicals for petrochemical plants.
Providing financial assistance and supporting banking cooperation for the development of petrochemical oil and gas industries in both countries were other parts of the agreements.
Ebrahim Raisi, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, traveled to Uzbekistan yesterday (Wednesday) to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit.
Oil Minister Javad Owji also accompanies the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran on his trip to Uzbekistan.
