Iran Press/ Asia: During a one-day trip to Türkiye, Iran's Minister of Energy met and talked with Fatih Dönmez, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, and Vahit Kirişçi, the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Türkiye, in Ankara, the capital of this country.
Ali Akbar Mehrabian, after these talks, in response to the question of Iran press, referring to the agreements made in the field of electricity transmission from Iran to Türkiye, said: "Recently, with the investment of the Turkish side, a facility has been established in the Turkish city of, which provides the possibility of exchanging electricity from Iran to Türkiye on a back-to-back basis."
He added that according to the agreement with the Ministry of Energy of Türkiye, with the installation and testing of these facilities, the sale of Iran's electricity to Türkiye and the benefit of the country's export market will soon be provided.
Mehrabian called the follow-up of the agreements reached by the presidents of Iran and Türkiye during the visit of the country's president, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to Tehran, the most important focus of the negotiations with the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Türkiye and said: "Regarding the issues of shared waters and the Aras River, it was decided to form a permanent committee to investigate the issues of the Aras River and to negotiate about issues of interest to both sides."
Iran's Minister of Energy stated that the beginning of technical and executive talks about common water issues was effective, and it was decided that the first meeting of the technical committee to review the issue of common waters will be held in Tehran in the first month of next year.
