Iran Press/Iran news: Mohammad Eslami on Saturday attended an opening ceremony at Rafsanjan city in Kerman province which used Plasma technology in dust removal, cleaning up, and processing of Nuts including Pistachio.
Rafsanjan company is the first plasma-based processing factory in Iran.
"Using plasma technology reduces the pests in agricultural products, Mohammad Eslami said, adding "This creative process can meet our demand in agriculture, Eslami further said that Four dry fruit processing factories based on the plasma technology will be started in Gilan, Khuzestan, Khorasan Razavi, and Ardabil provinces in the coming months.
In the ceremony, Iranian Minister of Agricultural Jihad Gholamreza Nouri Qezaljeh said that Pistachio is a strategic product for the country.
"According to the country's agricultural production statistics, our country's agricultural products are the healthiest in the world, Minister of Jihad Agriculture said adding that the production of Pistachio in Kerman province is 25% higher than the national average.
Our priority is to improve the productivity index of farms, and Reduction of water used in agriculture to an optimal level of consumption, Qezaljeh said.
