Istanbul(IP)- The 2024 International Halal Exhibition, the largest global trade event for the halal industry, opened its doors at Istanbul's International Exhibition Center, with active participation from eight leading Iranian companies and over 100 halal industry representatives from around the world.

Iran Press/Asia:  According to Iran Press, the Iranian pavilion, spanning over 415 square meters in the main exhibition hall, was organized by Iran's Trade Promotion Office. Eight prominent Iranian companies from the food, pharmaceutical, and laboratory research sectors showcased their products and services, drawing significant attention from visitors.

Speaking at the event, Mahmoud Bazari, Director General of the Trade Promotion Office at the Iran Trade Development Organization, highlighted the immense economic potential of the global halal market, valued at over $7 trillion. "This exhibition, with its specialized sections such as Eurasian health tourism, Islamic fashion, and organic products, provides an excellent platform for member and non-member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to showcase their capabilities," he said.

Bazari emphasized that Iran’s robust presence at the 10th Halal Expo reflects a national commitment to strengthening its economy, boosting exports, and establishing a foothold in the global halal market. "This achievement is a valuable step toward positioning Iran as a major hub in global halal trade," he added.

Kamran Davari, Iran's trade counselor in Turkey, stressed the importance of leveraging Turkey's market potential. He stated, "Participation in this international event plays a pivotal role in expanding exports and showcasing Iran's capabilities on the global stage."

The previous year’s Halal Expo saw the signing of an exclusive agreement to host the World Halal Exhibition and Congress in Iran, granted to Dr. Niloufar Mahmoudi, a partner of the World Halal Organization. This year, the event reiterated the significance of this agreement, cementing Iran’s status as one of the few nations hosting global halal exhibitions.

This milestone underscores Iran's growing influence in the international halal market and its commitment to expanding the export of Iranian products, marking a key step in strengthening its global economic presence.
