The Director General of Iranian Customs announced that since the beginning of this year, the amount of Iran's non-oil exports has increased by 8%.

Iran Press/Iran news: In a meeting with the members of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, regarding the problems of foreign trade and customs affairs,  Director General of Iranian Customs Mohammad Rezvanifar, referring to the country's foreign trade statistics in the first 4 months of this year, said: "The amount of foreign trade of the country without oil (total export and import) reached 36 billion dollars during this period."

The head of customs added: "Out of the total foreign trade of the country in the 4 months of this year, 17.5 billion dollars was the value of non-oil exports and at the same time 18.5 billion dollars of imports were made.

Rizvanifar stated: "The amount of non-oil exports increased by 8 percent during this period and imports decreased by 6 percent during the same period."

In another part of his speech, the head of customs stated: "140 customs partner laboratories have been added to the comprehensive customs system (EPL) to determine the nature of goods with the aim of applying regulations, including tariff determination and other cases.

Rezvani Far pointed to the process of determining the tariff and assessment and to apply the regulations, the customs need to determine the nature of the goods. He added that the customs called for qualified laboratories to work as a cooperating laboratory of the customs. 219

Iran's Customs head, referring to the new year in which the temporary entry procedure has been updated to make things easier and more transparent, added: "To facilitate and speed up the process, the temporary entry procedure has been entrusted to the provincial customs."
