Iran Press/ Asia: Iran national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Iran. Founded in June 2016, the team is controlled by the Islamic Republic of Iran Skating Federation, and it became an associate member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) on 26 September 2019.
According to Iran Press News Agency, the Iranian national team has held two training sessions in Bishkek to prepare for competition against Kyrgyzstan.
The special opening ceremony will be attended by the President of Kyrgyzstan and the President of the World Ice Hockey Federation.
Being sent to world competitions, the players of the team include Farzad Hooshi Dori, Farshad Moghadasi, Nima Mehraban, Mohsen Aghamohammadi, Jalal Kayhanfar, Maziar Ghorbani, Arman Bahri, Matin Qaharzadeh, Amin Korei, Mohammad Sheikh Jafari, Daniel Bagheri, Amir Heidari, Arshia Ghafouri, Abbas Dehghani, Amir Mahdiun, Danial Bagheri , Mahbod Abdollahi, Reza Pourhashemi, Oveys Hassanzadeh and Alireza Mahdavi.
Kaveh Sedghi as the head coach and Yuri and Vlad Lumanik from Russia as the team coaches are in charge of leading the national team for these competitions.
The schedule of the national ice hockey team matches at the 2022 World Championship in Kyrgyzstan is as follows:
March 3rd: Iran-Kyrgyzstan
March 4th: Iran - Singapore
March 6th: Iran - Kuwait
March 7th: Iran - Malaysia
