Iran Press/Iran news: The 3rd World Taekwondo President's Cup - Asian Region- G-2 kicked off in this southern Iranian Island of Kish.
The competitions will last for four days with the participation of 565 taekwondokas from 22 world countries.
According to Iran Press, on the first day of the event, 122 women and adolescent practitioners from 16 countries including Iran, Afghanistan, the Republic of Azerbaijan, China, India, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Oman, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Sweden, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, and Syria competed with each other.
The medalists were from China, South Korea, and Iran: China won 8 medals (5gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze), South Korea won (3 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze) and Iran won (2 silver and 6 bronze) respectively.
The event was attended by the President of the World Taekwondo Federation, Chungwon Choue, together with the President of Asian Taekwondo Union Kyu-seok Lee and the President of Iran's Taekwondo Federation Mohammad Pouladgar.
Men and women taekwondokas will compete in senior and junior categories of Kyorugi and Para-Taekwondo.
This is a G2 event where first to third athletes will add 20, 12, and 7.2 points to their Olympics ranking. 101/203/213
