Iran Press/Asia: Director of the Dogharoon Border Terminal Karim Navaei Nezami said that in the past 6 months, 370425 tons of Iranian goods were exported to Afghanistan via the Dogharoon border crossing in Razavi Khorasan Province, northeastern Iran.
He further expressed that this amount of Iranian goods was exported to Afghanistan with about 15,000 transit trucks.
"Last year, 771.729 tons of Iranian goods with more than 31 thousand trucks were exported to Afghanistan from Dogharoon terminal," he added.
Navaei Nezami also noted that Herat is one of the most important markets in Afghanistan and is 120 kilometers away from the zero border point and Dogharoon Special Economic Zone.
Construction materials, anchor, gasoline, and liquefied gas are the most important export items of Iran to Afghanistan through the Dogharoon border.
In the passenger sector, more than 3,500 people including drivers, passengers, and employees of various sectors are at the terminal daily and more than one million passengers enter the two countries through Dogharoon each year.
Dogharoon is Iran’s top border customs office in terms of employing modern management technologies, electronic infrastructures, and computerization which is located on the Iran-Afghanistan border in Razavi Khorasan Province.
