Iran Press/ Iran News: Hassani Sa'di visited the exhibition of capabilities, achievements, and products of the Defense Industries Organization in Tehran on Thursday.
"We should be able to update our armored products and the design of these products should be in such a way that not only in offensive operations but also in defense have a special and high capability", he stated.
Emphasizing on increasing the defense capabilities more than before, he said: "Today, the defense industry, based on a comprehensive roadmap and relying on research and technology, well meets the major needs of the armed forces in the country."
Referring to the instructions of the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces, Ayatollah Khamenei, regarding the surge in production, the deputy of Khatam al-Anbia (PBUH) said: "Today, the defense industry is a collection of specialized, knowledgeable and committed forces that can increase the strength of the Armed Forces by producing modern weapons."
He further stressed the need for self-sufficiency in all areas, especially the defense industry, adding: "We must achieve the highest technology in the world and thank God today we have reached a stage in the production of raw materials and parts based on domestic and local capabilities that we do not need help from any country."
Referring to Iran's strategic position, Hassani Sa'di described the role of the defense industry in enhancing the capabilities of the armed forces and noted: "The Iranian Armed Forces must be equipped in such a way that no foreigner even dares to think about invading our country." 207
