Iran Press/Iran news: Rouhollah Ahmadi the prosecutor general for Nazar Abad west of Tehran said the shop owner had placed a large banner at the entrance to his shop, saying Afghan nationals were not welcome, and should not enter these premises.
After his arrest for insulting Afghan Nationals, the shop owner had second thoughts and wanted to make amends for his past misdeeds.
The Judge ordered him to officially apologise to Afghan nationals via social media websites, and to place a banner inside his shop announcing special discounts to Afghan nationals for a period of three months, according to Iran Press.
The Judge also ordered the defendant to research the history of 'friendly relations between Iran and Afghanistan', two Muslim neighbouring countries.
It is worth noting that Judges can choose penalties other than prison term and fines for relatively minor offences, often substituting community service for imprisonment. The judge in this case has exercised his own discretion to punish the shop owner in a rare and unusual manner. 101/211
