Iran Press/ Iran News: In a phone conversation, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu discussed the latest developments in bilateral relations, some regional and international issues, including the Ukraine crisis.
In this telephone conversation, Iran's top diplomat wished success to the Antalya diplomatic meeting and the trilateral meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Turkey, Russia and Ukraine adding that a delegation from the Iranian Foreign Ministry will also participate in the Antalya diplomatic meeting.
Amir-Abdollahian further said: "Bilateral relations are on the path of progress and development, and in next week delegations from the two countries will travel to Tehran and Ankara in order to pursue the comprehensive development of relations."
In this telephone conversation, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu emphasized the effective and tangible steps in advancing bilateral relations with the support of the two presidents, calling the relations between the two countries excellent and friendly.
Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu also expressed Turkey's concern over the escalation of the crisis in Ukraine, the possibility of a humanitarian catastrophe and the rising tide of migrants and refugees, adding that the purpose of the trilateral meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Russia, Turkey and Ukraine is to establish a ceasefire in the region and lasting peace.
