Amir-Abdollahian:

Islamabad(IP)- Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized that the country and Pakistan have set a goal to increase trade exchanges to 5 billion euros.

Iran PressAsia: Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian left Karachi for Tehran on Friday evening after the final meeting with his Pakistani counterpart Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the conclusion of the negotiations of the last two days.

"Amir -Abdollahian," after his trip to Pakistan, wrote in an Instagram post that the trip was made to speed up the process of implementing past agreements and planning for transformation in the future horizon.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran further added that this trip is aimed at speeding up the process of implementing past agreements between Iran and Pakistan, focusing on economic and commercial cooperation, planning for development in the future horizon, following up on signed cooperation documents and examining common political and security concerns of two countries which was done within the framework of the development of the neighborhood policy.

He also wrote that although the volume of bilateral trade exchanges has grown reasonably in the last 20 months, it is unsatisfactory; the next step is upgrading to five billion euros.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran said that at the end of the meeting of the high economic delegations of the two countries, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy "Mehdi Safari," we signed the document of the five-year strategic plan for commercial cooperation between Iran and Pakistan together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of this country.

He also mentioned his meetings and negotiations with Pakistani officials.
