Iran Press/ Iran News: In a Tuesday telephone conversation, Iran's Alireza Razmhosseini and his Pakistani counterpart Abdul Razzaq Dawood stressed the continuation of negotiations over free trade between the two countries.
In the telephone conversation, it was decided that the plans for holding the ninth meeting of the Iran-Pakistan Joint Trade Committee were coordinated immediately so that the document of cooperation would be signed during the visit of the Pakistan minister to Tehran.
The two sides also welcomed the reinforcement of exchange infrastructures through creating border markets and reopening of new border areas and expressed their satisfaction over the increase of official passages between Iran and Pakistan.
Pakistan is the fourth export market of Iran among the neighboring countries such that the total amount of exchanges between the two countries in the past 9 months was estimated more than $840 million out of which Iran's share reached $710 million including industrial, chemical, agricultural and food products as well as construction materials.
With the necessary infrastructures created, the trade between the two countries may grow up to $14 billion.
Pakistan and Iran enjoy high potentials for joint investments.
