Islamabad(IP)- The 10th meeting of the Special Security Committee of Iran and Pakistan has started in Islamabad to boost bilateral economic, commercial, and security ties.

Iran PressAsia: Bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries of Iran and Pakistan in the economic, commercial, security, and border areas have been accompanied by significant progress in recent years.

On Thursday, in the tenth meeting of the special security committee of Iran and Pakistan, which will be held for two days, the officials of the two countries are going to discuss security issues between them.

In order to participate in this meeting, a delegation from Iran headed by Seyed Majid Mirahmadi, Deputy Security and Law Enforcement of the Ministry of Interior, traveled to Islamabad and held an important several-hour meeting with the officials of the Ministry of Interior of Pakistan.

In this meeting, the two sides' officials consulted on promoting bilateral cooperation in the fight against terrorism, strengthening border security, stopping illegal traffic, and preventing drug and drug smuggling.

The expansion of business cooperation in border areas and the development of security and law enforcement cooperation between the neighboring provinces of the two countries were other important topics in the consultations of the two sides in the 10th meeting of the Special Security Committee of Iran and Pakistan.

Moreover, the issues regarding the visit of Pakistani pilgrims to Iran and Iraq was one of the other key issues that the officials of the two countries discussed.

The officials of Iran and Pakistan are supposed to sign several security and law enforcement memorandums tomorrow, Friday, in order to promote bilateral relations and ensure border security.
