Tehran (IP) - Oman's Army Commander and the Iranian General Staff of Armed Forces discussed the development of military ties.

Iran PressIran news: Commander of the Royal Army of Oman Major General Matar Salim Rashid Al Balushi and General Staff of Armed Forces of Iran Major General Mohammad Bagheri discussed the development of defense and military ties between the two countries at the regional level.  

The Omani commander traveled to Tehran at the invitation of the Commander of the Iranian Army's Ground Force, Brigadier General Kioumars Heidari.

Earlier in May, Iranian commander Kiomars Heidari and General Bagheri visited Oman.

Tehran-Muscat ties in the last few decades, despite the tensions in the Persian Gulf and the United States' efforts to intensify Iranophobia, have always been based on mutual respect and interests.

Omani officials believe that relations with Iran are based on realism and consider Iran a great neighbor.

The two countries do not have any territorial and border disputes with each other.
