Birjand (IP) - Iran's Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian, referring to the use of renewable energy capacities in the country, said that the studied capacity for using renewable wind energy is about 30,000 MW.

 Iran Press/Iran News: Iran's Minister of Energy Reza Ardakanian, in response to Iran Press correspondent's question  in Sarbisheh, South Khorasan Province, said: "There are important wind corridors in Iran, one of which is at Afghanistan neighborhood."

Regarding the level of cooperation with neighboring countries, the Minister of Energy added: "The Ministry of Energy is responsible for the Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation with Afghanistan, so good initial negotiations have taken place in this regard, which we hope they will take place with the new government in the neighboring country so that we can use these opportunities."

Ardakanian pointed out: "At present, there are 131 renewable power plants with a capacity of 823 MW of energy and more than 3,900   kilowatt- power plants in the country, and 1,090 power plants are under construction."

Meanwhile, Sarbisheh reserve Dam was inaugurated in the fifth campaign "every week in Iran" last Saturday evening in the presence of the Iranian Minister of Energy in South Khorasan Province, East Iran.

The capacity of Siahoo reserve dam is 17 million cubic meters, for which 800 billion Rials have been spent.

Also, the implementation of Sarbisheh 50 MW wind power plant project with an investment of more than 70 million Euros began with the presence of the Minister of Energy of Iran.
