Iran Press/Iran news: Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi on Sunday addressed the question of reporters regarding the claim of the United States’ message to Russians for talks with Iran at the level of foreign ministers, saying, “the Islamic Republic of Iran is not engaged in any talks with the US officials at any level.”
Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif had a backlash Thursday on Twitter to the US' call for holding talks, noting, “We do not hold negotiations with those who have waged economic terrorism against our people. This should stop,” Iran Press reported.
The US President Donald Trump pulled his country out of the JCPOA in May 2018, re-imposing severe sanctions against the Iranian nation and waging economic terrorism against the Islamic Republic in defiance of global criticism.
