Iran's Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli and Iraq’s Interior Minister Qassim al-Araji in their meeting in Baghdad talked about the two countries' mutual interests.

IranPress/Middle East- Border issues and better coordination of Arbaeen pilgrimage affairs as well as regional issues were discussed during the meeting of Iran's Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli and Iraq’s Interior Minister Qassim al-Araji in Baghdad on Wednesday.

Iran's Interior Minister has arrived in Baghdad on Wednesday.

Last week, Military Attaché of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Baghdad, Brigadier General Mostafa Moradian revealed the signing and sealing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Arbaeen.

Iran and Iraq have enjoyed growing ties ever since the overthrow of the former Iraqi dictator, Saddam Hussein, during the 2003 US invasion of the Muslim country.

The two neighbours have further strengthened their military ties following a surge in terrorist attacks against Iraq.
