Pakistan(IP)- The Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said in a meeting with the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan: We have no restrictions on the comprehensive expansion of relations with Pakistan.

Iran PressAsia: Thursday evening, Amir-Abdollahian met with Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, Chairman of the Pakistani Senate.

In this meeting, which was attended by the high-ranking Iranian delegation and prominent members of the National Assembly of Pakistan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs pointed out the importance of parliamentary diplomacy as an essential part of the countries' diplomacy and described the role of the legislative assemblies in the Islamic Republic of Iran and Pakistan as very important and influential.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized: "The Islamic Republic of Iran does not have any restriction on the all-round expansion of relations with Pakistan, and attaches special importance to the development of relations with the Islamic country."

The Minister of Foreign Affairs called the gas pipeline project from Iran to Pakistan one of the important issues of cooperation between the two countries.

While pointing out the importance of the development of border trade between the two countries, the top Iranian diplomat said: "We must implement agreements and projects based on a schedule to expand and complete border terminals and markets. In this regard, we also have plans to create commercial and economic free zones in our border areas with Pakistan."

the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan evaluated the relations between the two countries at the government and people's levels as "good" and added: The parliaments of the two countries also act very harmoniously in international forums and adopt common positions, which strengthens the views of the two parliaments in these forums. For this reason, the Senate of Pakistan is grateful for the assistance of the Iranian Parliament."

Sanjrani expressed satisfaction with the recent opening of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia and congratulated the two countries on behalf of the Parliament and the people of Pakistan.
