Tehran (IP) - Iran's Permanent Mission to the UN hailed the statement issued by the Islamic Cooperation Organization (OIC) to denounce the Israeli regime's nuclear threat to Gaza.

Iran PressAmerica: In a message on its X account, Iran's Permanent Mission to the UN wrote: "We welcome the OIC’s communique, initiated by Iran, to denounce the Israeli regime’s threats to nuke the Middle East. The OIC calls on the occupying regime to renounce possession of WMDs, join NPT & accept intl. verifications. It is time for action!"

Issued on November 6, the statement said the OIC calls on the Israeli regime to renounce its possession of weapons of mass destruction and join the NPT and permit the inspections of International Atomic Energy Agency to its nuclear facilities.

The statement came as the Heritage Minister of the Israeli regime Amichai Eliyahu said that using a nuclear bomb in Gaza is the only possible solution to the war on Gaza.

He said that no Gaza Strip should remain on the ground, it should be built anew with settlements for the Zionists.

The OIC stated it considered the hateful speech of the Israeli official the dissemination of racist and terrorist ideology, denouncing Israel's positions regarding the use of nuclear weapons against the Palestinian people in the Gaza.
