Abu Dhabi (IP) - Iranian Ju-Jitsu team finished the 2022 edition of the JJIF World Championships with one gold, one silver and one bronze medal.

Iran PressAsia: The final day of the 2022 edition of the JJIF World Championships was held on Tuesday, and Ali Akbarpour, the last representative of Iran in the master category, grabbed the gold medal by overpowering all his opponents.

Akbarpour competed with his opponents in the 94+ kg master 1 competition and won the gold medal by beating the representatives of Kazakhstan, Romania and Montenegro.

The Iranian Jiu-Jitsu team finished the tournament with one gold, one silver and one bronze medal. Mohammad-Mahdi Rostamian and Radman Gholami had won the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

As many as 1,700 fighters from 75 countries have participated in the event.

The Jiu-Jitsu World Championship 2022 is underway from 29 October to 8 November 2022 in Jiu-Jitsu Arena, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
