Iran Press/ Iran news: The Iranian intelligence minister Mahmoud Alavi stressed on Thursday that Tehran might negotiate with Washington if US ended its sanctions against Iran. He said despite Donald Trump's claim that sanctions will bring Iran to its knees, Iran never negotiates under the pressure of the arrogant powers.
According to Iran Press news agency, speaking at a commemoration ceremony for the martyrs of Mazandaran province in Ghaem Shahr, in northern Iran on Wednesday, Mahmoud Alavi said: "The US president has now realised that sanctions are useless and Iranian people are more united than ever before."
Pointing to the violation of Iran's airspace by an American spy drone, the Intelligence Minister said: "The global arrogance should know that we defend our country against the enemy, and we will respond forcefully and decisively even in the case of a minor infringement of the Islamic Republic of Iran's territories."
On 20 June, Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) shot down a US RQ-4 spy drone close to the Iranian province of Hormozgan inside Iran's territorial waters in the Persian Gulf, close to Iran's coastline. 203/211/207
