Iran Press/Iran news: The MoU signed by Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Bolivian counterpart in Bolivia's EMI University included establishing a specialist nanotechnology laboratory in EMI University and launching BSc and Ph.D. courses in nanotechnology within the framework of south-south development.
Zarif said in his speech in the MoU signing ceremony that Iran is proud and ready to share its expertise and achievements with those nations whose development is not tied or linked to the arrogant powers, or to countries espousing the unilateral approach, Iran Press reported.
"The secret of the development of the countries determined to keep their independence in a world that colonialist countries try to deepen the other countries' dependence, is to abandon these countries conditional support, trust in their own abilities, and share their capacities with other friendly countries," Zarif added.
He referred to Iran's achievements in defense and military sciences, peaceful nuclear technology, science, and technology, and said Iran's success is because we have relied on our own talents, abilities, and resources for the past 40 years.
The MoU will be implemented with the goal of empowering and training Bolivian students and researchers in nanotechnology as well as jointly producing knowledge-based products in nanotechnology, and commercializing them in Latin America.
The Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Bolivia early on Tuesday and was welcomed by the country's Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carmen Almendras.
