Iran Press/ Asia: In the attack on Friday, January 27, 2023, by an armed person in the embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Tehran, the security guard of the embassy was killed and two other guards were injured.
Mahdi Safari, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy, met and talked with Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Khalaf Khalafov, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the country on Wednesday.
Safari has traveled to Baku to participate in the Summit of the Contact Group of the Non-Aligned Movement.
In a meeting with the authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran presented a report on the latest developments in the case of the armed attack on the Azerbaijani embassy.
Safari asked the authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan to send teams of relevant experts from the two countries to Tehran and Baku in order to speed up the completion of the case.
