Iran Press/ Iran news: Before leaving Tehran for Algeria, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf said that Africa was one of the important opportunities for Iran to have cooperation with the Islamic countries.
Ghalibaf is scheduled to have a trip to Algeria on the formal invitation of his Algerian counterpart in order to take part in the 17th conference of cooperation between the Islamic Cooperation Countries' member states.
He said that the pivot of the conference was the challenges ahead of the modernization and development of the Islamic world.
He stressed the issue of Palestine as another important issue to be discussed in the conference, touching on the new troubles the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu brought with his reelection and the appropriate response of the Palestinian people to them.
Ghalibaf said that in a situation where the enemies sought to cast aspersion and division among the Muslim nations through launching Islamophobic campaigns, the conference would be a good opportunity for the Islamic countries to get united and fight the hate-mongering.
