Tehran (IP) - The head of the Iranian Cinema Organization and the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan emphasized expanding bilateral cooperation in culture and cinema.

Iran PressIran news: Mohammad Khazaei, the head of Iran Cinema Organization, said in the meeting with Uzbekistan's Culture Minister Azadbek Nazarbayev in Tashkent that Iran Cinema Organization is considering paying more attention to the countries of Central Asia and looking to the East.

According to Khazaei, Uzbekistan holds significant importance for Iran in the field of cinema due to their shared historical similarities, and linguistic, cultural, and religious roots.

The head of the Iranian Cinema Organization emphasized that Iran is prepared to collaborate with Uzbekistan on film festivals, exchange of works, joint productions, and more.

In this meeting, Azadbek Nazarbayev, the Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan expressed his satisfaction with the presence of the Iranian delegation in Uzbekistan.

Cooperation between Iran and Uzbekistan in culture and cinema is essential due to their shared cultural and historical ties, stated Nazarbayev.
