Tehran (IP) - In a phone conversation, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran consulted with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan about the latest developments in Palestine.

Iran Press/Iran news: In a phone conversation with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Sunday, the Acting Foreign Minister of Iran Ali Bagheri, discussed matters of mutual concern and the dire situation in Gaza.

The two sides discussed the situation in Gaza and unabated Israeli atrocities there.

The deputy prime minister reiterated Pakistan’s full support for all initiatives aimed at ending the genocide in Gaza and for humanitarian relief to the Palestinian people.

Ali Bagheri Kani wrote on his X social platform: "In a telephone conversation with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan while appreciating the Pakistani officials for their messages of condolence and the presence of the high-ranking delegation in the commemoration of late Iranian President martyred Ebrahim Raisi and his companions, important issues, especially the crimes of the occupying regime in Palestine were discussed."

Bagheri further highlighted Iran's proposal to hold an extraordinary meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other effective, serious, and joint measures to stop the crimes of the Zionist regime, including collective action to help implement the temporary order of the International Court of Justice and prosecute the crimes of the regime's leaders.
