Iran turns cyber threats to opportunities

Referring to cyber-attacks against Iran, the Head of the Passive Defence Organisation has said the experience we have gained from these attacks have made us so much more powerful.

Iran Press/Iran news: "In cybersecurity and network security, Iran has made some great achievements and now we can eliminate all of the threats simply regarding these issues," Brigadier General Gholamreza Jalali said.

He made the remarks in an exclusive interview with IRIB on Tuesday.

"This year's cybersecurity exhibition showed that Iran makes 400 percent progress regarding the number, quality, and precision of cyber systems comparing it with the same period in the previous year," Head of Iran's Passive Defence Organisation Brigadier General Gholamreza Jalali concluded.

In October 2018, the head of Iran’s Civil Defence Organisation said a series of arrangements have been made to counter the US hostile strategies and its potential move to block Iran’s access to the Internet.

Iranian Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi said on May 13 that the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology developed initiatives to counter government-sponsored acts of cyber-terrorism and hostile measures, such as removing Iranian mobile phone applications from Apple company’s iPhones.
