Head of AEOI: Report on Natanz sabotage upon SNSC

Tehran (IP) - Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) said upon the causes of the sabotage of the Natanz nuclear site incident, the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) must opine.

Iran PressIran News:  Head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) Aliakbar Salehi said on Tuesday that the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the parliament also is seeking consultations with AEOI to jointly examine the security dimension of the issue for the Islamic Republic of Iran

Salehi explained that IAEO has taken measures in two phases since the incident; first, preparing equipment and preliminary operation for manufacturing centrifuges, and second, preparing more modernized and vaster halls near Natanz.

He referred to the observation of the neighbor countries' nuclear activities and said: "the United Arab Emirates has launched its first nuclear reactor and is expected to have four nuclear reactors."

"Saudi Arabia has also made a serious decision to enter this field, and in Turkey, very extensive activities have begun in connection with the construction of the power plant," he added.

Salehi remarked on Tuesday and on the sidelines of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the parliament.
