Konya (IP) – The head coach of the Junior Cadet and U22 karate teams of Iran expressed hope that the Iranian team would get acceptable results at the 12th World Junior Cadet and U22 Karate Championships.

Iran PressAsia: The 12th World Junior Cadet and U22 Karate Championships are underway for four days in Türkiye's Konya and Iran's national team is participating with about 40 athletes.

In the first days of this world championship, Iran's team faced opponents from Ireland, Azerbaijan, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Mexico, Poland, Romania and the US with relative superiority.

In response to the Iran Press question, the head coach of the Junior Cadet and U22 karate teams of Iran, Abdolreza Sahranavard, stated that with the participation of 1,700 karatekas from 104 countries, the Konya games are of a high level.

He expressed hope that the Iranian team would get acceptable results.

The 12th World Junior Cadet and U22 Karate Championships will be wrapped up on Sunday, October 30, 2022.
