Iran Press/ Iran News: Iranian President, Hassan Rouhani in his speech at the annual meeting of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) in Tehran on Thursday morning, said that at least in two occasions back in 2013, the president of France (Emmanuel Macron) had told him that a coalition of six countries had decided to attack Iran militarily, but the result of the presidential elections in Iran that year (2013) dissuaded the coalition in the end.
Elsewhere in his remarks, President Rouhani said: "In today's world everything is interconnected. The Islamic Republic of Iran can and will work with the rest of the world. Interaction and trade with other countries is absolutely essential. Politics, economics, culture, and security are all interconnected in the sense that economics, for example, has a very real effect on politics, national security, and culture of a country."
President Hassan Rouhani also called for stability in the currency markets, saying the value of the US dollar in relation to the Iranian Rial should fall further. He also praised the conglomeration and merger of several smaller Iranian banks saying this was absolutely essential and the bank mergers went very well. 211/207
