Iran Press/Iran News: Re-expressing regret and sorrow over the Beirut tragedy and sympathy with the Lebanese government and people, the President expressed satisfaction with the global solidarity with the affected Lebanese people, as a sign of an awakened conscience and a living sense of altruism among the contemporary human.
Meanwhile, Karim Hemmati, the head of the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran, announced: "Following the disaster in Beirut, 95 tons of various relief items have been sent to Lebanon by Iran so far, and four more shipments of 60 tons are being sent."
Iran's field hospital was deployed yesterday (Saturday) to serve the people affected by the horrific explosion of the port of Beirut in the Lebanese capital.
A huge explosion occurred in a nearby warehouse containing ammonium nitrate following a massive fire in an incendiary warehouse in the port of Beirut on Tuesday evening; at least 150 people have been killed and more than 4,000 injured in the blast, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
Also, on Sunday evening's meeting of the Council of Ministers, chaired by Hassan Rouhani, the new trends and emerging risks of the post-coronavirus era were discussed by members of the government, and appropriate decisions were made in this regard.
During the meeting, a number of proposals of the executive bodies were approved by the Cabinet after consideration.
Draft Protocol for Amending Agreement to Encourage Mutual Investment Support between Iran and Croatia was also approved by the government and was forwarded to the Islamic Consultative Assembly for final decision making.
Furthermore, the draft agreement on mutual legal assistance in civil matters between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Kazakhstan was another resolution of today's meeting of the cabinet.
In addition, the Council of Ministers approved the draft agreement between the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Government of the Republic of Ghana in order to avoid double taxation and prevent tax evasion on taxes on income, capital and capital gains.
