Iran Press/ Iran news: In his meeting with his Venezuelan counterpart, Jorge Arreaza, Iranian foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that martyr Ltd. General Ghasem Soleimani, was a prominent figure for the axis of resistance during his lifetime and become an inspiration for this axis after the martyrdom.
Referring to millions of Iranians who attended in Soleimani's funeral and their sentiments against the US government's terrorist act, Iranian foreign minister explained to his Venezuelan counterpart the widespread presence of Iranian people and their call for action for legitimate defense as well as for not tolerating bullying by the US regime.
Zarif also expressed his deep regret about the crash of a Ukrainian plane and described Iran's immediate efforts to provide facilities for the countries whose citizens perished in the crash.
Expressing his and the Venezuelan government's sympathy and condolences to the Iranian people and the government following the martyrdom of Lieutenant General Soleimani, as well as the deaths of Ukrainian plane crash victims, Venezuelan foreign minister, emphasized on the great impact of General Suleimani's martyrdom on Venezuela, among the people, especially the youth, in cyberspace and said to honor this great martyr, relations between Iran and Venezuela must expand further.
The Foreign Ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Venezuela also exchanged views on cooperation on international issues.
