Middle East: According to Iran Press, Hossein Jaberi Ansari, a senior advisor to the Iranian foreign minister for political affairs, met EU Secretary General Helga Schmid and envoys from Britain, Germany, France and Italy, to discuss the Yemen peace talks.
EU/E4 political consultations on regional issues with Iran were hosted in Brussels on 10 December 2018. This is the fourth round of talks in this format.
The meeting was chaired by EEAS Secretary General Helga Schmid and attended by E4 countries (France, Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom) at the level of Political Directors. The Iranian delegation was led by Hossein Jaberi Ansari, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs.

The discussions focused on the political and humanitarian situation in Yemen. All sides reiterated their strong support for the ongoing political talks in Sweden facilitated by the UN Special Envoy, Martin Griffiths.
The discussions also touched upon follow-up to the Astana process on Syria. The participants agreed to meet again in this format in the near future.
Also the Yemeni Health Ministry announced on Saturday night that in the recent US-Arab coalition air strike 6 people were killed and 10 others were injured in Al-Rabseh square, Al Hudaydah port.
