Tehran (IP) - The 19th edition of the Foreign Ministerial Meeting of "Asian Cooperation Dialogue " kicked off on Monday morning.

Iran PressIran news: Participants commemorated late President Ebrahim Raisi and late Iranian Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and observed a moment of silence then recited 'Fatiha' (Prayer asking God's blessing) for martyr Raisi, and Martyr Amir-Abdollahian.

On 19 May 2024, President Raisi and his accompanying delegation including the Iranian Foreign Minister and other officials killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday in the Dizmar forest in East Azerbaijan Province. Eight people were killed in the incident. 

Tehran hosted the 19th edition of the Foreign Ministerial Meeting of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) countries.

The first meeting was held at the level of experts on Sunday.

41 delegations attended Tehran's meeting which 25 delegations participated at the foreign minister level, and 16 other delegations led by the deputy foreign minister.

The Asia Cooperation Dialogue is an intergovernmental organization created on 18 June 2002 to promote Asian cooperation at a continental level and to ensure coordination among different regional states.
